We recently had a chance to speak with RBHavesh. He is the original creator of the revolutionary WPRemix theme and is now the owner of an awesome theme company called PremiumThemes.net. If you haven’t had a chance to see their themes I highly recommend it. We wanted to see what the things were that inspired him and get to know his history as a designer a little better. Q. For those who don’t follow you and might not know, How long have you been
interested in design and development with wordpress?
A. I created my first wordpress based project in 2006. I loved wordpress
because I am not a programmer and it solved the problem of creating a CMS
for the custom projects I did. In general, web design has been my choice
since I completed my high school education in 1999.*
Q. What got you started in the theme development business?
A. As a freelance web designer, I really needed a recognition back in 2007
because all the work I did was for a web design company in US and as a
result, I was not credited as the designer. I needed to create something
outstanding that gives me recognition.
At the end of 2007, I released WP Remix – one and only of it’s kind theme
that had been a great success. The release of WP Remix provided recognition
and money at the same time.*
Q. Do you generally have a target audience for your themes, most companies
target just web designers, are you trying to target other such as newbies?
A. Small business and Individual professionals are my focus. If you take a look
at our Wordpress Premium Themes, you will see that all the themes could be used out of the box. So, any
person having basic knowledge of wordpress can easily get started and get a
professional web front. This way, yes you may say that I am focusing on
newbies as well.
Q. What are some of your favorite things to do outside web design stuff?
A. I love reading. Once out side office, I’d love to read as much as possible.
Also I love cricket in sports and play once in a while.
Q. We know this might be Top Secret but do you have any other entrepreneurial
projects in the works you can share?
A. If I reveal, it wouldn’t be top secret, right? But yes, I am also working on
some other stuff that covers web design business as a whole.
Q. Do you have any quick tips or advice for other aspiring entrepreneurs?
A. Each of us have our own way to get success. What works for me, might not
work for you. Personally, i would say passion, persistence and sincerity are
the sure fire way to success. If you are not passionately loving what you
do, I doubt you’d get success ever.
